Ruskin’s View
One of the most famous landmarks in Kirkby Lonsdale, Ruskin’s View is not to be missed. This short walk is roughly 2km from Kirkby Lonsdale town centre. Follow the footpath along the River Lune before heading up the ‘Radical Steps’. Once at the top, follow the sign right and you will be rewarded with the famous view – a breath-taking panoramic view across the Lune Valley.
Kirkby Lonsdale Town Centre
The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail in the Yorkshire Dales National Parks boasts some of the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in the North of England. With its fascinating history, breathtaking views and a rich variety of plants and wildlife, a visit to Ingleton Waterfalls is a great family day out. The route is dog friendly so don’t forget your four legged friend!
15 minute drive from Kirkby Lonsdale
This famous 38km challenge walk is easily accessible from Kirkby Lonsdale. The start of the walk is in the village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, a short drive from Kirkby Lonsdale. The walk includes climbing to the summits of Whernside, Ingelborough and Pen-y-ghent in the Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
